Senior Azure / O365 Engineer
The core mission of a senior Office 365 / Azure Engineer ("O365 engineer") is to create new cloud product offerings and to manage customer projects. This is a full-time job reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties
Senior Office 365 (O365) / Azure engineers are expected to respond to customer requests promptly, follow-up regularly, perform cut-over and federation migrations, resolve Active Directory migration issues, Azure data center migrations, Azure security cloud policy management, resolution of Fortinet firewall issues, shut down exchange servers; migrate public folders, security monitoring and remediation, proactively resolve problems, document and improve repetitive tasks, and implement projects to reduce complexity and improve operations. Senior O365 engineers configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems; provide technical assistance and training to users; write technical BLOG postings; and update Knowledge base and Standard Operating Procedures in IT Glue. Adherence to the company's core values is required.
Qualifications and Skills
An O365 Engineer must have 3 or more years of experience and advanced vendor certification and in-depth knowledge of at least one cloud product. Required certifications are Microsoft MCSE or MCTS, Cloud Platform certifications (346 and 347), Azure Assessments, and Security certification(s) as needed. Experience in an MSP or other IT company highly desirable. Annual background checks are performed due to the security requirements of our work.
